Position Summary The HR Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources department and serves as a welcoming first point of contact for staff, applicants, and community members. This position requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Provide customer service and serve as a representative of the district when interacting with staff, applicants, and the public.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel and student information.

Assist with HR functions, including job postings, interview scheduling, new hire paperwork, onboarding, and offboarding.

Conduct background checks, verify licensure, support substitute hiring/orientations, and maintain personnel files.

Track employee certifications and assist with FMLA and Worker’s Compensation paperwork.

Perform office and receptionist duties such as greeting visitors, answering phones, processing mail, data entry, filing, scanning, and managing office supplies.

Support district-wide forms and processes (residency waivers, facility use agreements, enrollment support, etc.).

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; coursework or degree in business or HR preferred.

Experience in HR or school office setting preferred.

Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Proficiency with standard office software; experience with Frontline preferred.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
