Qualifications Social Worker I
Enrollment with a Master’s Degree program with 1 field practicum course completed and at least 5 years professional experience in a child welfare setting working with intensive‑need foster youth and resource families. (A Community Care Licensing exception request must be submitted and approved by Community Care Licensing).
Social Worker II
Master’s degree from an accredited or state‑approved graduate school in social work or a related field. (Examples: social work, social welfare, marriage, family, and child counseling, child psychology, child development, counseling psychology, social psychology, clinical psychology, educational psychology, or an education program with an emphasis on counseling).
Social Worker III
A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
Meet Community Care Licensing requirements for Social Work Personnel: 3 semester units of field practice at the Master’s level, 9 semester units related to children and families (or 18 months experience), 3 semester units in working with minority populations (or 6 months experience), 3 semester units in child welfare (or 2 years experience), and at least one year of experience working with youth who have serious behavioral challenges.
Essential Job Functions
Participate in program 24‑hour on‑call rotation.
Support general recruitment efforts.
Case manage youth/families as assigned.
Support family visitation as needed.
Support placement efforts for youth or non‑minor dependent in the approved Resource Family home.
Complete clear, accurate, and timely assessments, case notes, and reports.
Conduct family evaluations for potential Resource Families and produce written reports.
Conduct family re‑evaluations for approved Resource Families and update written reports.
Apply knowledge of family systems issues, active listening, and positive behavioral supports.
Apply knowledge of Community Care Licensing regulations and seek consultation as needed.
Communicate effectively and respectfully with all members of the Child and Family Teams.
Maintain youth and family files as required for licensing and accreditation standards.
Assist in social functions, recruitment and retention events, and meetings of the Pathways to Permanency program.
Participate in utilization, accreditation, and peer review processes as assigned.
Conduct meetings and continuing education with Resource Families.
Meet all outcomes documented in the Employee Development Plan.
Seek out clinical information and advice as needed, accept constructive feedback and reasonable recommendations from management.
Provide support to leadership and programs with interns, new hires, and additional program needs.
Provide support during program expansions (e.g., Therapeutic Foster Care, Home‑Based Shelter Care, Complex Care).
Perform other duties as necessary for the program/agency, including work in other programs.
Assist or shadow the Social Worker I/II in initial onboarding or training.
Position Specific
Provide active support to families and post‑adoption youth in pre‑adoption and post‑adoption.
Facilitate support groups, respite activities, events, and trainings.
Develop and update resources and program materials.
Provide support to Resource Families in the pre‑ and post‑adoption process.
Assist parents/caregivers in articulating and communicating their needs to service providers.
Case manage youth/families as assigned.
Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external team members.
Employment At‑Will Employment at the Agency is terminable at‑will, meaning that employment may be terminated at any time, without cause or reason, by either the employee or the Agency. The Agency may also demote, lay off, transfer, or reassign employees at any time at its sole discretion without cause or reason.

Salary Range
Social Worker I: $70,720 - $90,000 Annually DOE
Social Worker II: $75,000 - $100,000 Annually DOE
Social Worker III: $80,000 - $105,000 Annually DOE
