TRI Center is a leading provider of outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) services in New York City. With exclusive federal, state, and local contracts, we are committed to delivering evidence-based, person-centered treatment to diverse communities.

We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic clinical team. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care within a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

Provide individual, group, and family counseling to clients in our outpatient program.

Deliver treatment using Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) tailored to client needs.

Incorporate mindfulness and meditation techniques into therapeutic work.

Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain timely documentation in accordance with OASAS and agency standards.

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support client recovery and wellness.

Participate in case conferences, trainings, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.

NYS licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or permit-eligible).

Experience in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment required.

Strong knowledge of Evidence-Based Practices (CBT, MI, etc.).

Training or demonstrated experience in mindfulness and meditation practices.

Excellent communication, organizational, and clinical documentation skills.
