Base pay range The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant assists the Speech Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services. The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will have clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment related activities while working within the scope of responsibilities/ plan of care assigned by the Speech Language Pathologist and/or physician.
Minimum Requirements
Must be a graduate of a SLPA program with an associate’s degree, or have a bachelor’s degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program
Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and/or contract
Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the State of Practice
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
One (1) year of prior professional Speech-Language Pathology Assistant experience preferred
Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
General Comments Modality : Speech Language Pathologist Assistant
Grade Level & Classroom Type (General, Inclusion, Self Contained, etc.) : ECSE and elementary age, specific location depending on interview/where director thinks they would be best fit
Caseload Details : 30-35 students in caseload
Classroom Support : 8 total SLPs in district; will have SLP supervision
Day To Day Duties : Therapy type services; Group or 1:1 support (Paras, BTs, Nurses): N/A
Start & End Date : 2025-26 SY
Start & End Time : 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM w/ 30 min lunch break; Monday-Friday
Specific Campus : Types of Testing (LSSPs, Diags, SLPs): TBD depending on where director feels SLPA would be the best fit
In Person Or Virtual Interview : Virtual or in-person with SPED director and at least 1 of the SLPs in district
