This position provides academic, operational, and budgetary support to the School Director, faculty, staff, and students. It is the first point of contact for anyone within the School, the public, and the university community. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Support for the School, including correspondence with prospective students, coordinating on-campus visits, maintaining student files, and liaising with offices offering courses through ISPD, such as Student Affairs, Luckyday Scholarship Program, and the Center for Faculty Development. Assist with course scheduling, room reservations, student enrollment permissions, textbook ordering, and organizing summer programs and conferences. Develop and monitor the school’s annual budgets, prepare justification statements, analyze budget data, and ensure expenditures stay within budget. Assist with Course Fee Audits and budget requests, and process related forms in SOARFIN. Serve as the point of contact for facility and inventory management, conduct inventory audits, assist with state audits, order supplies, coordinate lab maintenance, and handle building maintenance requests. Manage personnel actions, including creating requisitions, onboarding/off-boarding staff, faculty, and student employees, and preparing HR paperwork. Provide administrative support to the Director, including data analysis, event planning, website management, scheduling, and preparing reports for accreditation and funding agencies. Perform other duties as assigned by the School Director and cross-train to support all job responsibilities. Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and two years of office experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Proficiency with PC and data entry. Ability to interpret safety and procedural documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence using Microsoft Office. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in academia, at least three years in office administration, and knowledge of systems such as SOAR, SOARHR, SOARFIN, Cornerstone, BlackBaud, University Foundation Go! System, Astra, and Faculty Enlight. About The University of Southern Mississippi:
