Director of Religious Coordinator Job Summary
The Coordinator of Youth Religious Education oversees parish catechetical programs for ages 9-12, collaborates with the Elementary Religious Education Coordinator, manages administrative duties, maintains student records, and connects families with the parish community. Responsibilities include communication, coordination of faith formation activities, supervision of catechists, and participation in parish liturgical and faith formation events. Key Responsibilities
Organize and coordinate faith formation activities for youth groups including Youth Ministry, Lifeteen, Confirmation, and RCIC. Prepare sacramental programs and liturgies. Order textbooks and teaching resources. Assist in budgeting and planning annual and monthly activities. Create yearly calendars for faith formation. Support diocesan and parish policies. Supervise and recruit catechists and volunteers. Provide training and support for catechists. Communicate regularly with families and coordinate announcements. Manage sacramental records and assist with parish fundraising activities. Ensure compliance with Safe Environment programs. Participate in parish and diocesan meetings and collaborate with staff. Coordinate with Spanish Faith Formation Program for seamless integration. Maintain ongoing faith education and training. Minimum Qualifications
Active member of a Roman Catholic parish or knowledgeable of Catholic mission. Formation in Theology and Catechesis. Experience in Youth Ministry and Religious Education. Bilingual in English and Spanish. At least three years of parish or administrative experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. Excellent communication skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. High School Diploma required. Preferred Qualifications
Strong organizational and prioritization skills. Ability to draft correspondence and reports. Independent work capability. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Physical Demands
