We are seeking a professional to fill the role of
Buyer , reporting to the Purchasing Supervisor.
Responsibilities
Responsible for procurement of raw materials, machined components, contract manufacturing & services in support of EBAD Moorpark Operations team.
Coordinate procurement activities with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other personnel for maximum operational effectiveness.
Functions include ERP / MRP system planning, supplier selection & development, negotiation, scheduling, supplier contract management, conflict resolution, and maintaining cost-effective inventory control for all materials.
Ensure that all regulatory requirements with respect to purchasing, storage, and transportation of materials are adhered to.
Develop procurement justification packages and procurement cost analysis in accordance with FAR/DFAR.
Lead or participate in continuous improvement activities within the organization.
Provide input in the Supplier Development process by evaluating suppliers’ performance and communicating to facilitate improvements in cost, quality, and delivery.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and minimum four years of relevant experience, or a related two-year post‑high school diploma/certificate plus six years of relevant experience.
Core competence in purchasing and materials control services, MRP/ERP systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong Lean Manufacturing background desirable.
Proficient PC skills in a Windows environment.
Ability to work independently.
CPSM and/or CPCM certification a plus.
Compensation Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000 per year. Salary is determined by education, experience, skills, and market data.
