Summary Baker Electric is hiring a Tool Repair & Maintenance Technician for our Escondido office. Join our Warehouse team to repair tools, conduct audits, and perform safety inspections.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for repairing small engines, power tools, and electrical devices that are returned from the field.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly maintenance on all tools.
Troubleshooting and determining causes of tool failure.
Certifies that all tools and safety items are in good working condition and can be released to the field.
Transfers tools in and out of the tool repair crib.
Train and mentor warehouse staff on basic tool repair procedures.
Conducting tool audits/inspections to determine tool performance.
Experience, Education
1-3 years of warehouse experience required
Toolwatch experience
Tool experience is a plus
Welding experience is a plus
Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, bachelor’s degree a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proactive nature to consistently follow up
Position Requires
Lifting, pushing, pulling over 25 pounds
Repetitive bending and stooping
