Location: REMOTE, Home Office – New York, NY (40 hours a week, 8 hours a day shift)
Overview
The Senior Cost Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing major facilities projects and driving financial accountability across the organization. This position partners with multiple Facilities Management divisions to support the implementation of new Project Management tools while ensuring cost efficiency, operational excellence, and superior client services. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and develop construction cost budgets for feasibility studies, preliminary, schematic, design documents & construction document budgets in support of a variety of construction projects for office renovation, office furniture buys, reconfiguration, and moves. Compare budget costs to benchmark pricing information, analyze quantities and scope items, and assist in value engineering. Compile project unit pricing and labor rates from contractors and ensure the contractors abide by the rates throughout the project duration. Support Project Regent Board development. Help to develop sustainment planning in conjunction with PDS, IFM team and client. Help sustain projects forecasting. Collaborate with FM Management division to oversee major projects and technology integration. Lead the creation and execution of cost management frameworks, policies and reporting tools. Support strategic planning and budgeting efforts to ensure financial alignment across the organization. Manage and support projects through PMWeb, Adaptive Works, Spend‑App (Oracle based). Review and analyze project pipeline with Project Manager and FM Manager to assure accuracy dates. Oversee project cost controls pipeline data, ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting. Deliver superior client services and communications, maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. CLIENT COMMUNICATION AND JLL MANAGEMENT
Actively support an environment of teamwork, cooperation, performance excellence and personal success; act as an interface with PMO, Engineers, MAC Team and client cost control. Weekly and bi‑weekly meetings to track review cost budgets with the client project cost controls, Project Manager Team, Facilities Manager and Engineering Managers. ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Run monthly labor report in CFS and send to Finance to complete reclass. KPI compliance – track SWP dates (initiative, PD, contract, closeouts) and work with Finance Director to track and bill T&E. Work with CBRE to issue their team POs in PMWeb; review and approve their change requests and payment apps in PMWeb. Review/approve all project‑related POs in Oracle Spend‑App. Provide sales tax exemption documents to vendors when appropriate. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in finance, construction management or related field (required). Minimum 5–7 years of experience in project and cost management within Facilities or a corporate environment. Experience in Construction Management or Real Estate is preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to regularly communicate analyzed data to clients and team to achieve project goals. Strong working knowledge of architectural & engineering drawings, furniture, and space‑planning concepts. Practical drawing/test fit review (will be requested at interview). Highly organized with strong analytical skills. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with the client’s executives, JLL executives, architects, engineers, contractors, client representatives, and team members. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and project software (RS Means, Onscreen Center, OneDrive, SharePoint, PMWeb, Oracle JD Edwards, Adaptive Works). Estimated compensation for this position:
120,000.00 – 135,000.00 USD per year This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations. Location:
