Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (AIS), is actively seeking individuals who can contribute to national security within the project management and business services fields as part of our staff augmentation team supporting the Department of Energy (DOE) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Successful candidates will be employees of AIS, a premier government contractor charged with employing highly motivated and well-qualified personnel who can advance the missions of the ORNL in Oak Ridge, TN. Though employed by AIS, the employee will take day-to-day direction from technical personnel employed directly by the research laboratory. Pay, benefits, Human resource, and employment management functions are provided by AIS. Qualified applicants must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years of age, and able to meet pre-employment requirements including any required physicals, drug screen, and/or background investigation to satisfy clearance requirements from the DOE. Responsibilities

Work with the project controls lead and control account managers (CAMs) to develop and maintain project controls. Provide day-to-day support to the project with schedule and cost maintenance and status, forecasting and conducting what-if analysis. Assist in generating monthly reports on project status and performance. Attend technical and management meetings to understand and report status accurately. Perform ad-hoc activities as directed by the project controls lead. Support the CAMs and project management staff in preparing for various project reviews. Develop, present, and reinforce project management processes and systems training for all applicable project staff. Qualifications

BS/BA in project or construction management, business, engineering or equivalent. Five years of experience successfully performing project controls duties. Five years of project experience working within an EVMS environment compliant with EIA-748. Solid understanding of project controls best practices regarding scope, time, cost, change and risk management. Significant experience with Primavera and EVM cost processors. Advanced experience in the use of SharePoint, Cobra, Microsoft Projects and Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced skills applying Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and processes.
