Brief Description
The Eligibility Specialist at MLCHC is the only department that is able to enroll our patients with insurance and assist patients in applying for financial assistance for our pharmacy, medical and dental services. In this role, the Eligibility Specialist must provide the highest level of customer service, actively working to help the patient in a warm, helpful, and empathetic manner. The Eligibility Specialist is also accountable for important administrative and clerical functions to support the CCR team.
Responsibilities
Provides excellent service, information and support to patients and colleagues on the phone and in person.
Manages medical and behavioral health appointment scheduling according to established procedures.
Adapts to changes in EHF and practice management systems, workflows and processes, and participates in employee training.
Completes necessary continuing education credits and trainings to maintain in Person Navigator certification.
Requirements
Possesses a basic level of written and verbal communications skills, computational and computer skills and mathematical knowledge typically acquired through completion of a high school program.
Ability to read and speak Spanish and/or Russian required.
