Position Summary The Operations & Facilities Management Department at WashU Medicine is committed to delivering a comprehensive range of services to support the medical campus. We oversee maintenance and operations for 65 buildings, covering more than 11.1 million gross square feet of space, including the 11-story, 609,000-square-foot neuroscience research building. Our responsibilities include operational and administrative support, strategic planning, and project management. We support the expansion of WashU Medicine across campus, ensuring seamless delivery of clinical care, research initiatives, and educational endeavors. The Manager oversees 24/7 control room operations, monitoring over 11 million square feet of School of Medicine space, ensuring continuous staffing coverage, training, and supervision of all personnel and activities.

Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Supervision of direct reports, including training, mentoring, scheduling, hiring, performance evaluations, payroll approval, and purchase order approval.

Manage the Facilities internship and career training program.

Communication with university staff officials and outside vendors.

Develop standard operating procedures for Control Room personnel responses to critical events.

Building Automation System user credential management and radio inventory tracking.

Coordination of elevator recall testing.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications Relevant Experience (5 Years)

Certifications No specific certification is required for this position.

Driver's License A Class E (MO) or Class D (IL) license and a good driving record are required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Service Now.

Experience with Workday.

Associate Education Associate degree, Bachelor's degree
