A&P Mechanic - Aircraft Recovery Technician (ART)

We operate over 150 dedicated cargo aircraft, including the Saab 340B, Embraer 120, Fairchild SA227, Beechcraft 1900, and Beechcraft 99 from bases across the United States.
ART Special Projects and Team Responsibilities
Work various projects such as aircraft part‑out/scrap, returning long‑term project aircraft back to service, overseeing and supporting aircraft undergoing outside vendor maintenance.
Report directly to the Director of Maintenance.
May be stationed anywhere in the continental U.S.; team members are flown to and from assignments and provided with hotel and per diem. Schedule is 2 weeks on, one week off.
Perform all manner of maintenance on Ameriflight aircraft in accordance with company policy, manufacturer’s recommendations and Federal Aviation Regulations.
Inspect, troubleshoot and repair airframe and powerplant components and systems.
Document work completed per company procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Must hold a valid FAA Aircraft Mechanic certificate with Airframe & Powerplant ratings.
1–5 years experience with Ameriflight fleet types; experience with Beechcraft 99, B1900, Embraer EMB‑120, Fairchild SA227, and Saab 340B series aircraft preferred.
Previous experience with PT6A, PW118, TPE331, and GE CT7‑9B series powerplants preferred.
Experience within a fast‑paced, scheduled maintenance operation.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively with employees.
Must be able to interpret documents such as policy, repair and safety manuals.
Must be able to work various shifts.
Positive disposition, professional attitude, professional appearance.
Ability to obtain airport access badge requirements including a TSA security background check.
Successful completion of pre‑employment DOT drug screening and other required background checks.
Must have a valid driver’s license and meet all company insurance criteria.
Physical Requirements
Must be willing and able to travel.
Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to manipulate objects, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
Work Environment Requirements
May travel for training, to repair aircraft in the field, and to provide temporary support for other bases.
May work outdoors, in weather as necessary.
May work in close proximity to moving aircraft and machinery.
May work in a potentially noisy work environment.
