Position Fire Alarm Foreman
Responsibilities
Installs, tests, and repairs fire alarm systems.
Consults with clients on system requirements and provides system recommendations.
Uses blueprints or building plans to determine proper system installations based on building layout and setting.
Runs wiring and circuits, installs hardware, and attaches electrical wires.
Inspects and tests systems, batteries, and electrical wiring; makes necessary adjustments and repairs.
Replaces malfunctioning hardware when necessary.
Ensures systems comply with electrical and fire codes.
Explains and demonstrates system function and operation to end users.
Performs other related duties as required.
Trains Helpers to prepare them for promotion.
Ensures all work and safety rules are followed.
Maintains company vehicle cleanliness and service.
Keeps work areas clean, safe, and orderly.
Attends monthly safety meetings at the local branch.
Works outside on job sites for long hours in all seasons, including summer months.
Handles physical requirements including standing, sitting, bending, lifting, and climbing; capable of lifting up to 70 pounds.
Qualifications
3+ years of fire alarm experience.
Experience in system installation, repairs, troubleshooting, and testing.
Ability to supervise projects and helpers on job sites.
Basic knowledge of hand tools.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Willingness to wear proper protective equipment on all job sites.
Experience working outside on job sites for long hours in all seasons, including summer months.
Travel within the local community is required.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Successful completion of a pre‑employment drug test and background check, including 10 years of employment verification.
