Fire Alarm Deputy Project Leader

with design and implementation experience in technology applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in fire alarm system applications with knowledge of IBC, NEC, NFPA codes as they apply to fire alarm systems for facilities and plants. Deputy Project Leader

is a training position that involves learning how to supervise and direct employees on a project, prepare strategic plans and budgets, develop comprehensive project plans, and analyze statistical data. This position supports multiple customers and project sites within our Life Safety Group. The overall candidate must be a thought leader, customer-focused, and possess excellent communication skills. Demonstrated ability to plan and lead a diverse team to execute multiple contracts is essential. Responsibilities

Run day-to-day operations of a project or project subsection. Identify change orders and ensure effective resolution. Price, track, and manage change orders. Plan and monitor cash flow against expenses. Maintain as-builts as work is completed. Document project issues/conditions. Plan and execute project completion and punch list. Develop goals and plans to prioritize and accomplish work. Read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Research and compile submittals; price change orders; prepare estimates for partially designed projects. Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve issues. Communicate with external parties, representing the company to clients, the public, government, and contractors. Understand the importance of timeliness in decision-making, RFIs, and documentation of verbal conversations or agreements. Qualifications

Education & Experience Required: Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSEE preferred) or related degree with 5+ years of experience. Related construction experience with five years working for an electrical or construction contractor. Experience managing construction projects from $500,000 to $10M. Experience with contract drawings, subcontracts, addendums, specifications, change orders, RFIs, and submittals. Experience with CPM Scheduling. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing technical plans and blueprints. Strong interpersonal and writing skills; problem-solving ability. Proven planning and organizational skills. Proficiency with MS Office, Blue Beam, and PDF. Desired Qualifications: Accubid Estimating or equivalent related to Electrical Installations. Primavera P6 CPM Scheduling experience or equivalent. Willingness to travel to project sites as needed. Abilities
