Our client is hiring a

Service & Product Design Manager

to lead design efforts across a suite of complex tools that power the backbone of our food operations from purchasing and planning to recipe standardization, vendor integration, and order management.

Design is a new capability within this group, and we're looking for someone who can bridge

Service Design

and

Product Design

someone who can map systems and dependencies, then translate them into intuitive UX/UI designs ready for production.

This hybrid role requires both strategic thinking and hands‑on execution. You'll lead discovery, co‑create future‑state journeys, and deliver UI solutions that meet real‑world operational needs, all while collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders.

What You'll Do

Lead end‑to‑end design efforts: 20‑30% Service Design, 70‑80% Product Design

Map ecosystems, design current and future‑state user journeys, and create UX/UI solutions that help users accomplish their tasks

Identify system dependencies, data flows, and user pain points

Translate research and operational insights into lo‑fi journeys and high‑fidelity product experiences

Collaborate with internal operators, SMEs, and users to deeply understand workflows

Partner with Product and Engineering to align on problems‑to‑solve and feature development

Mentor and coach 1‑3 designers, fostering a culture of design excellence

Facilitate cross‑functional workshops to drive alignmentTranslate service designs into production‑ready UI in Figma

Clearly document and communicate design decisions to stakeholders

Required Experience

7+ years in Product, UX, or Service Design, including 1‑2 years in a leadership or management role

Experience in operations‑heavy environments (e.g., supply chain, inventory, food tech, logistics)

Strong product thinking with the ability to navigate user needs, business logic, and system architecture

Proven success designing for enterprise platforms or SaaS products with complex workflows

Proficiency in Figma and service design tools (e.g., journey maps, service blueprints)

Skilled in user research: field observations, stakeholder interviews, usability testing

Experience facilitating design reviews, retrospectives, and collaborative workshops

Familiarity with ERP or enterprise SaaS tools is a strong plus

Bonus: Experience coaching designers or shaping team structure and design processes
