Family Engagement Specialist Clarvida is seeking a dedicated Family Engagement Specialist (FES) to provide intensive family finding efforts for youth in congregate care referred by the Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS). The FES will work within the Fostering Sustainable Connections (FSC) Program to connect families and support youth placements.

Responsibilities

Accept referred families and deliver all elements of the FSC Program as described in the DCS FSC Program Manual.

Conduct Discovery and Engagement, Blended Perspectives Meeting, and Team Decision Meetings according to the FSC Program Manual.

Meet with the youth and the youth’s team for 180 days, with potential 90‑day extensions, as outlined in the FSC Scope of Work.

Ensure all services, procedures, and forms are culturally relevant, linguistically appropriate, and gender responsive (including LGBTQ).

Maintain an average caseload of fifteen youth.

Report abuse or neglect while the case is open and submit Incident Reports to DCS, Program Director, HRT Compliance Department, and Program Supervisor.

Complete client documentation in the HRT database according to contract deadlines.

Attend and complete a minimum of 15 hours of job‑related training per the DCS FSC Program Manual.

Ensure the safety, health, and welfare of staff and clients at all times.

Model and uphold all program norms without compromise.

Act as a positive role model and mentor for youth and their supports.

Treat others with respect, confront negative behavior, and support confrontation.

Attend and participate in all required meetings including individual supervision and monthly group supervision.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Social Work and one year of experience in social work or a related field.

Ability to obtain and maintain a valid unrestricted Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Minimum age requirement is 18.

Safe driver with a current Arizona State Driver’s License and acceptable driving record for the past five (5) years.

Personal vehicle liability insurance and vehicle registration as required.

Strong knowledge of the FSC process, practice, and components.

Skills and ability to instruct clients in child development, home management, personal problem solving, accessing community services, domestic violence issues, discipline and childcare techniques, and age‑appropriate parenting skills.

Must obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification.

Must pass a DCS Clearance with no substantiated reports and a criminal background clearance check.

When required, ability to pass a drug screen and a physical exam if requested.

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred.

Travel

Travel 60% throughout assigned counties.

Pay Rate $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
