Position Description As an Applebee's Assistant Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of daily restaurant operations. Your role is to ensure that guests and staff are passionate about their experience every day. You should be a team leader, an excellent problem solver, able to handle stress, and maintain a positive attitude. You will work hard and enjoy the process!

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Ensure timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving unit objectives.

Cultivate a culture aligned with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs.

Respond promptly and effectively to guest complaints, ensuring resolution by self and staff.

Engage with guests through table visits as per Flynn Applebee's standards.

Maintain departmental inventory levels.

Ensure product preparation and presentation meet company standards through line checks.

Schedule employees effectively to meet sales demands.

Maintain safety and security programs.

Promote restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation.

Report needed repairs to the General Manager/Area Director and perform routine maintenance.

Recruit and refer potential team members and managers.

Implement Flynn | Applebee's training procedures for new managers.

Develop staff through training, meetings, and performance evaluations.

Assess employee performance and provide regular feedback.

Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

Control costs within the department.

Drive food and liquor inventories as requested and complete related paperwork.

Ensure sanitation standards meet or exceed health department and company standards.

Serve as a role model for managers and employees.

Develop proficiency in store-related technology.

Be willing and able to work in all restaurant positions as needed.

Participate in the Management Development Program for leadership growth.

Education and Experience

Minimum of 2-3 years restaurant management experience.

Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus.

Physical Standards

Work various shifts, including weekends.

Stand and move quickly for up to 10 hours.

Lift pots, pans, glassware, and boxes up to 50 pounds.

Read and write for communication; possess finger and hand dexterity for small tools and equipment.
