The Inventory Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing inventory levels to ensure accurate stock control, support production needs, and maintain efficient supply chain operations. This role involves tracking inventory performance, forecasting demand, identifying discrepancies, and providing actionable insights to improve inventory accuracy and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor inventory levels across multiple locations to ensure stock accuracy and availability.
Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies between system records and physical counts.
Analyze inventory data to identify trends, shortages, excess stock, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and maintain inventory reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Collaborate with purchasing, logistics, and production teams to align inventory needs with business goals.
Forecast demand and recommend replenishment strategies to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
Support implementation of inventory management systems, policies, and procedures.
Review and improve inventory control processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Assist in month-end and year-end inventory closings and financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards related to inventory management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in inventory analysis, supply chain, or logistics preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with multiple departments.
Preferred Skills
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Knowledge of demand forecasting and supply chain optimization techniques.
Certification in APICS, CPIM, or similar credentials a plus.
