Job Summary: Self-Help Credit Union is dedicated to creating and protecting ownership and economic opportunity, focusing on economic justice. They are seeking an Applications Support Project Manager responsible for planning, managing, and completing assigned projects, ensuring quality deliverables and collaboration with teams and external vendors. Responsibilities: • Manage complex projects/programs as assigned from design and development to training and go-live implementation including: • Define requirements, scope and planning project lifecycle deployment. • Define resources, scheduling and timeline for project/program implementation. • Define organizational impact and engage relevant teams and staff in project implementation. • Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning. • Plan, schedule, and create project deliverables, goals, and milestones. • Conduct project kickoff and status meetings, clearly communicating individual roles and project expectations and ensuring that all project team members have the tools and training required to perform effectively. • Efficiently identify and solve project issues. • Demonstrate leadership to define requirements for project risk. • Design and maintain technical and project documentation. • Develop Requests for Proposals (RFP) for external services and assist in the overall RFP process including evaluations and comparative analyses. • Develop and effectively present project plans to appropriate audiences and provide periodic updates as needed. • Ensure appropriate compliance/legal review occurs as part of project planning. Qualifications: Required: • 4 years’ hands-on IT/IS project management experience in a high-paced, large or multi-location organization. • Strong Project Management skills including a methodical and structured approach to projects. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to understand complex information and assess business requirements. • Solid leadership skills and the ability to interface and communicate effectively at all levels. • In depth technology skills including deep knowledge of business software applications and the ability to quickly learn new applications, use of MS Project, MS Office and Visio. • A flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to changing business needs. • The ability to work within budget limits. • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines. • Ability and willingness to travel and work overtime as needed. • Ability to demonstrate Self-Help's Core Values: Mission Before Self, Service With Excellence, Embracing & Promoting Change, Results Not Credit, Diversity as a Strength, Financial Sustainability for Mission Impact. Preferred: • Project Management Certification preferred but not required. • Experience working in a credit union or other financial institution preferred. • Working knowledge of IT security and financial institution data processing systems. • Preference for working in organizations that place priority on teamwork and collaboration. • Strong commitment to our mission – creating economic opportunity for traditionally underserved communities.
