Job Purpose The purpose of this position is to facilitate and maintain orderly and efficient flow of inventory for the Fabick campus. This individual is responsible for the inflow and outflow of customer assets as well as Fabick assets across all divisions, serving multiple divisions for the greater good of the enterprise.
Job Responsibilities
Coordinate when required the shipping of new, used, rental, demo, and serviced customer equipment.
Initiate when needed and complete INSPCT templates for loss mitigation of Fabick and our customers.
Receive new equipment and associated attachments per defined business process. Assign, print and attach barcodes to equipment and attachments.
Generate and send receiver for new and used machines to Sales Dept per defined business process.
Assist in the preparation and presentation of equipment to showcase to customers.
Conduct investigations to verify and resolve shipping and receiving errors.
Comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, and government regulations.
Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
Take pictures of the equipment and ensure all machines meet Fabick quality standards before leaving the yard; check serial numbers, hour meter reading, attachments, and any damage on returned equipment.
Take pictures of damage as needed; when damage is identified, notify the appropriate department head with supporting documentation.
Conduct monthly physical inventory audits for the location to which you are employed. Ensure all equipment and attachments are barcoded and scanned.
Reconcile inventory reports and locate missing items; submit inventory reports and communicate disparities to department heads.
Maintain an organized yard free from excessive debris and trash.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum education: high school diploma or GED. Technical, vocational, or trade school education desired.
3 or more years of experience in operating heavy machinery, shipping, receiving and general yard duties.
Strong customer service skills required.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to move equipment around the yard.
Ability to manage time and multi-task with little to no supervision.
Must have heavy equipment experience.
Exhibit a high level of urgency and ownership.
Physical Requirements In addition to typical work activities, the following may be required: occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Reasonable accommodations can be made if they do not create an undue hardship and enable safe performance of essential functions. The job may involve long periods of standing, exposure to seasonal heat and cold, working with oils and greases, noise, shift work (1st and 2nd), outdoor work, stooping, bending, squatting, or being in a prone position.
