Transportation Team Leader

to join our growing team and oversee a dynamic portfolio of profitable municipal projects across Oklahoma. In this role, you will be responsible for the operational & strategic direction of a talented team, including profitable growth, client development, and project delivery. You will be provided with the necessary tools, resources, and guidance for success. Our leader must be an effective "doer/seller" capable of balancing team management, project execution, client relationships, and business development.

Responsibilities:

Lead business development activities, including direct client interaction and engagement.

Develop a strategic business plan and oversee hiring to support execution.

Procure, manage, and execute transportation projects for Garver.

Manage projects, coordinate sub-consultants, schedule tasks, develop/ negotiate contracts, manage design teams, oversee civil design and plan production, prepare cost estimates, and interact with clients.

Serve as a technical leader and advisor on transportation projects.

Participate in marketing activities such as proposals, interviews, and presentations.

Foster collaboration between design teams and service providers.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program.

PE license in Oklahoma or ability to obtain reciprocity within six months.

10+ years managing diverse transportation projects, preferably in Oklahoma City.

Knowledge of industry standards and design manuals.

Experience with roadway design software such as Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads, etc.

Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.

The ideal candidate must have:

Leadership skills to recruit, develop, and oversee a motivated team.

Project management skills for scope, budget, and schedule management.

Technical experience in roadway/interchange design, drainage, traffic control, and utility coordination.

10+ years of team management experience, especially in municipal transportation projects.

Business development and client management experience.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in consulting engineering focused on municipal transportation.

Proficiency with Civil 3D and OpenRoads Designer.

3D modeling experience.
