Ryder is immediately hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Port Deposit, Maryland.
Warehouse positions pay weekly.
Pay
Hourly Pay $23.50 per hour
Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when working third shift
Schedules: Third Shift Wednesday 12:00 am – 6:00 am, Thursday‑Saturday 6:00 pm – 6:00 am
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred
One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred
Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required
Valid forklift operator's license certified
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Effective leadership skills
Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Performs work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent organizational skills
Proactively approaches responsibilities
Maintains composure under pressure
Works using health and safety methods
Bilingual (for Québec locations only)
Responsibilities
Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Allocate resources and organize daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
Inspire and guide team members toward improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI) using appropriate leadership styles and methods.
Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and provide necessary information, technology, and tools.
Promote health and safety work methods within the warehouse.
Handle day‑to‑day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
Perform other duties as assigned.
