Admissions Coordinator

About the Opportunity The Admissions Coordinator supports admission and enrollment efforts for all master’s programs within SPS. The role focuses primarily on application completion, review of applications, and matriculation of admitted students. The Coordinator serves as a liaison between SPS academic programs and external stakeholders, maintaining applicant data in the Technologies‑Slate CRM, and communicating with students through scheduled and ad‑hoc messages regarding deadlines, missing materials, and program information.
Responsibilities
Support admission and enrollment efforts for all master’s programs managed by SPS.
Focus on application completion, successful review of applications, and matriculation of admitted students.
Maintain inquiry, applicant and degree program data in the Technologies‑Slate CRM.
Communicate with students via ad‑hoc and scheduled messages to answer questions and provide information (application deadlines, missing materials).
Work with a variety of master’s programs; responsibilities may vary by program category, number of intakes per academic year, and program modality (on‑campus, low‑residency hybrid, fully online).
Qualifications Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree and 1–3 years of experience in higher education admissions, marketing, recruiting, or student services, or equivalent education and experience.
Job Competencies
Excellent planning, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage projects under tight deadlines and multi‑task between competing timelines.
Positive, team‑centered attitudes and strong customer service orientation.
Effective problem‑solving in complex or stressful situations.
Superior computing skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps for Education, and basic technology troubleshooting.
Preferred
Experience with Slate, Banner, and/or other student CRM/SIS systems and databases.
Experience with learning management systems and other educational technologies.
Knowledge of college admissions and the admissions funnel, preferably for graduate and professional programs.
Salary Grade Grade 8
Additional Information Applicants are asked to include a resume and cover letter. All offers of employment are contingent upon successful background check. Brown University does not provide visa sponsorship. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days of work per week on the Providence campus. May require some night and weekend work to staff events, including Commencement.
