Sr. Home Loan Officer - Business Development

Role Summary Under the direction of the Production Manager/Team Leader – Business Development, generate leads, develop relationships, and assist members with mortgage lending needs. Analyze loan requests, make credit decisions, originate real estate first mortgage loans, and maintain a professional image.
What You Will Be Doing
Meet monthly individual goals.
Make calls to real estate agents, brokers, builders, and other referral sources to develop borrower leads.
Attend open houses and industry events.
Spend significant time out in market selling loan products and generating leads.
Perform loan origination duties in a thorough manner; adhere to policies and procedures.
Ensure approved loans comply with regulations and loan standards.
Maintain a professional and friendly atmosphere.
Demonstrate working knowledge of all mortgage products and rates.
Troubleshoot and resolve member inquiries in a timely, friendly manner.
Interview members for residential mortgage loans and explain financing.
Inform members of preliminary financial analysis.
Calculate loan estimates.
Monitor loan status and process loans in a timely manner.
Understand and perform BSA functions.
Attend training sessions and maintain awareness of policies.
Build positive relationships with real estate agents and community members.
Report areas of concern to supervisor.
Act with ethics, integrity, and respect.
Control risk and perform duties safely.
About You
Ability to multi-task on numerous projects simultaneously.
Effective written, verbal, and phone communication skills.
Quality decision making with extreme attention to detail.
Work with minimal supervision.
Promote a productive work environment.
Qualifications
Three to five years of similar or related experience; mortgage lending experience desired.
High school diploma or equivalent; specialized coursework acceptable.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance preferred.
Valid NMLS MLO identification number.
Knowledge of conforming and non-conforming loans as defined by secondary market.
Experience with Desktop Underwriting or other lending software.
Experience developing new business through calls on the real estate community and membership in professional organizations.
Experience in loan origination consistent with FNMA guidelines, FHA and VA loan originations.
Proficiency with office equipment, lending software, spreadsheets, and word processing.
Independent travel required.
Valid driver’s license required.

Full Salary Range $45,760.00 - $350,000.00 (Base/Commission)
