Access Control Specialist, Full-Time: 1st Shift - Cleared (TS or TS/SCI with Poly) at Amentum. Join our team of 500+ front-line security professionals ensuring that our nation’s assets are protected. Essential Responsibilities
Monitor and control the access of employees and visitors in and out of restricted areas by ensuring people have proper access. Ensure that prohibited and restricted items do not enter or leave the building. Diligently monitor your restricted area. Provide excellent customer service to all employees and visitors. Remain alert and aware of surroundings. Exhibit excellent communication in every interaction. Ensure attention to detail. Ability to work independently during scheduled shift(s). Ability to adapt to change within high-volume, fast-paced, and slow-paced environments. Must be able to work 1st shift (5:00am-1:00pm OR 6:00am-2:00pm +/- 1 hour) Monday - Friday; this work supports 24/7 operations and you may be assigned challenging shifts. Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license in good standing. High School diploma or GED. U.S. citizenship. Currently live within a 75-mile radius of Annapolis Junction, MD. Open to alternating work locations and willing to travel within 10-15 miles of Annapolis Junction Business Park. Read, speak, and understand English fluently. Must be comfortable leaving mobile devices at home or in your car as the assigned work location will be in a restricted mobile communication zone. Available to work 2 major holidays and 1 minor holiday per year as determined by Amentum. Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands See well with 20/20 vision (glasses or contacts allowed) and close vision correctable to standard Jaeger No. 4 as appropriate for both eyes. Color vision required to be normal (no color blindness). Normal field of vision and good depth perception as defined by Snellen chart. Hearing correctable to normal levels with hearing aids; hearing level of 0 dB or lower as measured by pure tone audiometry. Ability to stand continuously for 4 hours at a time. Ability to lift light weighted packages and/or bags for inspection purposes. Ability to write clear, concise statements describing events or issues to be documented at each post. Ability to work independently during scheduled shift(s). Adaptability to a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Salary and Other Compensation
The starting hourly rate for this position is between
$18.29-$32.00 per hour . Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. Benefits
