Position Summary
The Website and Intranet Administrator / Network Monitoring Support Specialist is responsible for managing the district’s digital platforms and supporting network operations team across all schools. This position ensures the district’s public website and internal intranet are accurate, secure, and user-friendly, while assisting with network monitoring and connectivity to maintain reliable access to instructional and operational systems.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Website & Intranet Administration
Manage and maintain the district’s public-facing website and internal intranet platform (e.g., Happeo, Google Sites, or other CMS).
Ensure website content is current, accurate, and aligned with district branding and accessibility standards.
Collaborate with school leaders, departments, and communications staff to publish updates, announcements, and key resources.
Maintain intranet organization, site permissions, and navigation to enhance staff access to internal tools and information.
Work with vendors or IT staff to troubleshoot and resolve website or intranet performance issues.
Support staff with intranet training and content updates as needed.
Network Monitoring & Support
Conduct Tier 1 network monitoring to ensure consistent connectivity across district schools and offices.
Track and report network outages or performance issues to the Network Engineer or higher-level support.
Collect site-level incident data prior to escalation ensuring scope, device count, and timing are confirmed before submission.
Support the PC Support team and Network Team as needed.
Additional Duties
Assist with technology-related projects as assigned.
Provide documentation and reports related to website analytics, intranet usage, and network uptime.
Participate in technology planning meetings and contribute to process improvements.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Technology.
Qualifications
2 - 4 years of experience in web design, front-end development, or creative production. Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Web Design, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
Experience managing websites and intranet systems within an organization or school district.
Basic familiarity with JavaScript or web builder platforms (Squarespace, Webflow, or WordPress).
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or Canva.
Eye for layout, typography, and clean design with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education or Microsoft 365.
Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, IP addressing, switches, routers).
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with non-technical staff in a K–12 environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience with CMS tools such as Happeo, Google Sites, or WordPress.
Knowledge of ADA accessibility and web compliance standards.
