The Senior Buyer C position will be responsible for negotiating and buying Exterior Parts (Wheel Flares, Cladding, Class A Painted Parts) in support of the Exterior Purchasing organization. The duties include management of the sourcing process, developing and implementing creative solutions to complex challenges, capacity and cost management, and PO/ contract administration. This includes but is not limited to: selecting suppliers, placing purchase orders, managing complex contracts, interfacing with internal and external customers, managing key Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier relationships, and developing commodity strategies.
The ideal candidate must have: the ability to coordinate activities with other departments and resolve conflicts; must lead a cross functional team with "One Voice" to suppliers; and develop and manage key supplier relationships while maximizing suppliers' ability to deliver quality product on time. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for developing and/or assisting in the development of strategies and solutions to continuously improve costs and capacity.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor' degree from an accredited university in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related discipline
Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or other disciplines that require negotiation and/or exposure to sourcing/project management processes
Commodity purchasing experience
Excellent negotiation skills with proven experience managing & negotiating contracts, strong analytical skills, strong presentation skills
Ability to manage the supply base and drive timely resolution of open issues
Ability to resolve conflict situations
Effective listener/communicator
Strong leadership skills
Ability to think and act strategically
Ability to cultivate internal and external relationships and earning trust
Demonstrated the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment
Able to muti-task at highest levels in order to handle numerous matter through completion
Excellent planning and time management skills
Well organized, self-motivated, and resourceful managing complex situations
Must be proficient using GSuite and Microsoft Office programs
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAP and GST
Global commodity experience: participating in global sourcing activities and working in global teams
