Load and unload grain, agronomy, and feed products Work with your hands by performing scheduled maintenance and repairs Acquire knowledge on how to monitor and maintain grain quality, mix/load fertilizer/chemical products, and assist in loading trains Obtain certifications to operate equipment including the opportunity to obtain your CDL Perform duties to ensure facility operates smoothly and customers receive excellent customer service Additional responsibilities and daily activities
Under general supervision, carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently, including knowledge of commodities handled and compliance with company policies and regulations Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, sampling, loosening nuts, opening hatches, and attaching/detaching hoses Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using appropriate machinery Control and monitor load out functions; operate automated scale/dump systems Conduct and record maintenance tasks; inspect equipment for leaks; monitor inventory quality Deliver products to customer sites; maintain clean and safe work areas; perform housekeeping and record-keeping Perform grounds maintenance including snow removal; warehouse duties including forklift operation Report customer complaints, maintenance needs, or safety concerns promptly; follow safety policies and guidelines Perform other duties as needed to ensure smooth operation Minimum Qualifications (required)
Must meet minimum age requirement 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations Additional Qualifications
Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons High School diploma or GED preferred CDL license or ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement preferred Agriculture experience preferred Forklift certification preferred Pre-employment screening may be required as per job requirements Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 75 pounds Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and may include bonuses, incentives and other earnings. Actual pay offered will vary based on factors such as experience, education, training, and certifications.
