Job Description
CTSA seeks a hands-on Maintenance Manager to spearhead all maintenance operations across our quarry and processing facilities. This leader will design and execute preventative maintenance programs, mentor a team of operators, and ensure 24/7 equipment reliability—all while cultivating a safety-first and excellence-driven work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute preventative/predictive maintenance programs for crushers, conveyors, screens, wash plants, mobile support fleets, and shop facilities.
Oversee daily/weekly/monthly workloads and schedules to align with production needs and minimize downtime.
Coordinate work orders, inspections, repairs, and downtime minimization strategies.
Parts Inventory Management
Maintain inventory of critical spare and repair parts (bearings, idlers, pulleys, crusher liners, belts, filters, hydraulic components).
Set optimal reorder points, issue purchase orders, liaise with external suppliers, and expedite emergency parts.
Track part usage and reconcile procurement documentation (purchase orders, credit card reconciliations).
Team Leadership & Development
Direct, coach, and mentor a diverse maintenance team—including maintenance technicians, plant operators, and field personnel.
Recruit, train, and cultivate talent with safety and technical development at the forefront.
Safety, Compliance & Culture
Own safety initiatives: lead by example in safety meetings, reinforce MSHA compliance, and uphold our core values of Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Safety and Excellence.
Equipment Performance & Reliability
Track KPIs on equipment availability, downtime, work order backlog, and maintenance cost efficiency.
Lead root-cause analyses, long-lead repairs, shutdowns, and capital upgrade projects.
Maintain accurate documentation of service records, repair history, parts usage, and maintenance costs.
Budget & Vendor Management
Manage maintenance budgets, parts inventory, and external service contracts, optimizing resource allocation.
Partner with vendors to procure parts and align with production standards.
Continuous Improvement & Excellence
Champion excellence by identifying operational and maintenance improvements.
Implement feedback loops from Quality Control and Operations to refine maintenance standards.
Proactively recommend process, equipment, and sourcing initiatives to improve reliability and reduce cost.
Key Requirements
10+ Years of experience minimum.
5+ Years in a Leadership Role.
In-depth knowledge of Welding and Fabrication.
In-depth knowledge of Aggregate Plant Operations
Willing to be in the Field.
