Sr. Supply Chain Manager 2

We are actively hiring a Sr. Supply Chain Manager 2 to join our Home Office Supply Chain team and oversee all activities associated with a supply chain organization. The Sr. Supply Chain Manager 2 will be responsible for the size, overall make-up, and performance of the supply base and will ensure compliance to government regulations and requirements while providing leadership to supply chain personnel.
Major Position Responsibilities
Conducts routine supplier performance reviews and develops and communicates clear sourcing strategies. Prepares and executes global acquisition plans for all materials and services. Develops cost objectives and monitors group level as well as individual performance against those cost objectives. Actively manages inventory levels through the monitoring of supply cycles and period of supply parameters. Drives supporting functions to complete necessary "requirements generation" tasks to achieve desired programmatic schedules. Assures the quality of the contract language used by reports. Reads all customer contracts prior to award to assure that the standard business terms conform. Plans conformance methodology for any unusual customer requirements. Monitors the solicitation process for fairness and effectiveness. Advocates for the use of socioeconomically disadvantaged businesses. Understands and looks for warning signs of kickbacks. Reviews and approves source selection plans. Organizes and monitors all solicitation and pricing activity. Monitors the cost estimating activity for significant proposals. Writes the small business subcontracting plan. Writes the procurement portion of the proposal. Ensures the quality of subcontract pricing independent of cost targets. Approves negotiation plans as necessary. Monitors purchase documentation and provides guidance to reports on opportunity to improve. Intercedes with systemic supplier delivery to MRP purchase order promise date and MRP need date or quality issues. Monitors and manages overall supplier quality and delivery performance. Leads proactive programs for continuous improvement in the supply base. Rapidly intervenes to remedy degrading supplier performance issues. Fosters higher level relationships for those suppliers of strategic importance. Organizes workload across all reports effectively. Assists with obtaining resource from other functions as needed. Matches planning and buying resources to demand for material and services. Assures that proper skills are available throughout the group in order to effectively fulfill the purchasing function. Liaison with the Government includes providing accurate explanation of procurement practices and processes. Develops labor plans to staff for upcoming program procurement needs. Closely monitors supply risk for key products or technologies. Familiar with DFARS and FARS for Government contracts. Interface with Operations on daily/weekly requirements to support the facility. Monitor the process for all rejected material through MRP/Quality system for proper disposition and transactions. Develop, maintain and report supplier lead times in support of build plan. Ensure configuration review level and packages are complete and accurate at time of PO release. Ensure the SCM team maintains POs for Quality, Delivery and Engineering requirements accuracy. Prepare the SCM team to participate and pass all internal and external SCM audits. Report and ensure all Government property at the supply base is accounted for and accurate in the GDOTS databases. Interface with Quality on all FAT requirements and ensure reports to the customer are obtained in a timely manner to enable continuous production at the Operations facility. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field. 12+ years of Supply Chain experience encompassing purchasing, expediting, and scheduling and 3-5 years of supervisory or management experience. Master’s Degree in Business or Engineering Experience preferred. Experience with MRP applications. Defense Industry experience preferred. About the company
