Responsibilities
Work with the Assistant Director of Fund Sponsored Education Programs to oversee assigned training programs, including grant budgets, administration, and reporting requirements.
Establish and cultivate relationships with key union and management representatives at participating facilities.
Collaborate closely with TUF staff and labor/management committee members to design, develop, implement, and evaluate training programs.
Establish relationships and act as liaison with contracted educational providers and instructors to evaluate and monitor program quality and performance.
Optimize the use of funding within contractual obligations.
Travel to healthcare facilities to initiate training and provide members with updates on TUF programs; secure training space as needed.
Manage grant program performance, including student enrollment, program completion, instructor/vendor performance, curriculum development, and expenditure of funds.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of program records and reports, including statistical analyses.
Collaborate with other funds and departments to facilitate quality programs.
Participate in case management and problem-solving for members as issues arise.
Stay informed about industry and union issues in the region.
Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, or equivalent work experience required; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum three years of experience in adult education, training, or workforce development.
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
Knowledge of adult education principles, best practices, case management, and career coaching.
Understanding of career and educational pathways in the healthcare field.
Knowledge of best practices in educational and career development.
Ability to work independently and demonstrate accomplishment in designing, planning, implementing, and evaluating training programs, managing budgets, and teamwork.
Excellent organizational, record-keeping, and communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and support multiple training programs.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
Ability to travel within the five boroughs.
