How You’ll Make an Impact In this role, you will passionately implement policies and philosophies, cultivating a therapeutic safe space for at‑risk youth. You will oversee the residential program’s atmosphere, provide support, training, and performance management for your team, and ensure the wellbeing of every youth in our care.

Responsibilities

Implement each youth’s Individual Treatment Plan.

Carry out case management duties and meet education, employment, and treatment goals.

Supervise program communication (log entries, incident reports, phone and written communication to supervisors and external bodies).

Supervise staff and youth, assess placement and duration of stay, and advise on de‑escalation and behavior management techniques.

Participate in all essential meetings, conduct performance evaluations, use progressive discipline when necessary, and facilitate weekly team meetings and program retreats.

Conduct overnight walkthroughs, school meetings, transportation coordination, home visits, and admissions staffing.

Maintain program cleanliness, safety, and operational budget, and lead continuous quality improvement projects.

Be on call to the program as scheduled and attend agency events as required.

Promote agency mission, values, and treatment philosophies.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field, or Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of experience in a Mercy Home direct‑care position.

Experience managing individuals and teams in a residential treatment setting.

Ability to work at least two nights per week until 9:00 p.m., on‑call Monday‑Friday, and rotating weekends.

Interdisciplinary team approach experience, implementation of policies and procedures.

Valid Illinois driver’s license, ability to drive a van, and clear driving record.

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Ability to maintain confidentiality, professional demeanor, and exercise judgment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and willingness to learn other software.

Completion of required agency trainings, including CPR/First Aid and Crisis Prevention Institute Training.

Basics Information / Schedule Details This is a full‑time position (40 hours per week). Schedule: Monday 9 a.m.–5 p.m.; Tuesday 12 p.m.–9 p.m.; Wednesday 9 a.m.–5 p.m.; Thursday 1 p.m.–9 p.m.; Friday 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

Compensation Pay range: $70,000 – $74,500 per year.
