Overview
Holt CAT in Waxahachie, Texas is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment-Shop Service Technician. This position provides high-quality repair service on heavy equipment in a shop environment, in order to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner and to ensure maximum value for work performed. Must have 3 years experience on heavy construction equipment. The hours of the position are Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality repair service on heavy equipment in a shop environment to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner and to ensure maximum value for work performed.
Document all work orders properly.
Qualifications
Troubleshoot and perform complex repairs correctly in the shop such as pumps, hydraulic, engine, transmissions, HVAC, and electrical issues and repairs.
At least 3 years of field or shop service tech troubleshooting and repair skills of heavy equipment such as dozers, backhoes, front-end loaders, excavators, etc.
Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment using electronic and manual equipment to determine failure.
Ability to troubleshoot Tier 4 Final Emissions Systems
Ability to troubleshoot Exhaust Gas Recirculation Systems
Able to document all work orders properly
Diesel Tech Schooling is highly desired.
Must have a steady employment history.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have the ability to obtain a forklift license.
Ability to frequently reach, bend, walk, etc.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, approximately 5 times a day.
Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is required.
Excellent attendance is required.
Must be able to work Monday-Friday -7 AM - 4 PM.
Ability to be productive by working efficiently and effectively with a high energy level.
Ability to work with limited supervision.
Must have own tools.
