HR Data and Reporting Analyst (Business Data & Reporting Analyst 1 or 2) - Provisional Overview

Central Office Human Resources (COHR) at The City University of New York (CUNY), positioned within the University Human Resources Office (UHR), is an integral service-oriented department that provides employee facing HR services. The HR Data and Reporting Analyst will provide HR and client support by accurately inputting auditing and reporting on information in the PeopleSoft “CUNYfirst” Human Capital Management (HCM) system. The position involves applying human resources policies and the applicable contract provisions necessary to develop and maintain daily HR operations and procedures. The analyst acts as an HR information system expert to assist end users, participate in HRIS implementations, and perform related data entry and reporting tasks with confidentiality and strong attention to detail. Duties and Responsibilities

Perform personnel data entry into CUNYfirst for assigned full-time employees. Generate reports and analyze CUNYfirst and Payroll data for auditing to assist with regular data correction updates. Assist with managing POI data audits. Provide support with communications for university compliance and ethics training. Serve as a point of contact and as an HR information system expert to assist end users. Participate in HRIS implementations and system testing. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a High School Diploma or GED. Demonstrated English language proficiency to meet minimally acceptable performance standards. One (1) year of related full-time experience utilizing PeopleSoft (38-40 hours per week); compensated as prorated if less than full-time under policy. Other Qualifications

Level 2 requires two (2) additional years of related full-time work experience utilizing PeopleSoft or related software. Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in PeopleSoft, Workday, or other HRIS to compile data and perform data entry. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage priorities and deadlines, and solve problems proactively. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Strong attention to detail with a customer service focus. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook). Compensation

Level 1:

New Hire Minimum: $44,746; Incumbent Minimum: $50,564 Level 2:

New Hire Minimum: $56,565; Incumbent Minimum: $63,918 Notes:

This salary reflects a 13% salary suppression in effect for the first 24 months of employment for Level 2. Benefits
