Traffic Project Manager
to support our Texas region. Duties, Responsibilities & Other
Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work. Prepare traffic engineering capacity analyses, assess safety implications, and identify intersection operational improvements. Design and prepare construction drawings for traffic projects, including signals and ITS. Apply principles and practices of traffic engineering; solve traffic and engineering problems and communicate clearly in high-quality technical writing. Demonstrate reliability, commitment to projects, initiative, and a desire to advance knowledge of traffic engineering principles. Effectively manage tasks and projects, including financial and administrative duties, and communicate directly with clients. Supervise staff. Required Experience
Experience with Synchro/SimTraffic, PTV Vistro/Vissim, and/or HCS software is preferred. Familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD, and NACTO standards. Experience with Microstation. Experience with intersection and roadway concept development. Georgia DOT experience is a plus. Experience preparing traffic impact studies. Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. Education and/or Skills Required
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (AEC Industry) with a minimum of 3 years of related professional experience, or 7 years of equivalent professional experience. Participation in continuing education and professional development programs. Experience in project management roles with a track record of successful project delivery. Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and motivate project teams. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Technical knowledge in the specific project field. Proficiency with project management software and tools to develop and maintain project plans and documentation. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment. Negotiation skills to manage contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements. Understanding of accounting principles to manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation. Education and/or Work Experience Preferred
Master’s Degree in a related field (AEC Industry). Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations Required
Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training and pass the PM Board within 6 months of start date. Pre-employment drug screening is required. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position. Seniority level
