Overview
Transportation Engineer Project Manager - Roadway — St. Louis, MO Join Olsson's Roadway team as a Project Manager, leading project deliverables for complex, high-priority roadway projects and contributing to growth in Missouri. Olsson provides multidisciplinary design services for transportation-related projects including urban and rural highways, interchanges, and municipal roadways. As a Project Manager, you will be a lead project manager for our Roadway team, ensuring successful project completion across multiple teams and providing direction to ensure quality execution of key projects that deliver purposeful, high-quality solutions to meet engineering and design needs. You will supervise and nurture the professional and technical growth of team members, with mentorship that fosters skill development, collaboration, and collective success, contributing to the future of transportation infrastructure. Primary Responsibilities
Develops project scopes, schedules, and budgets and tracks progress to manage the financial success of projects and ensure timely completion. Manages complex contract negotiations. Leads the execution of project plans by assembling and managing project teams, coordinating internal resources, and assigning responsibilities to align with project objectives. Serves as primary liaison between all parties involved in a project. Monitors progress and measures project performance, ensuring deliverables fall within scope, schedule, and budget. Manages change requests, executes risk management techniques, and implements strategies to minimize negative financial impact. Coordinates detailed reviews of technical work to ensure high-quality outcomes and contract compliance. Maintains positive client relationships and focuses on exceptional client service to secure future work. Documents all project deliverables and maintains comprehensive records including correspondence, design plans, and related files. Mentors and supervises staff on project management best practices using Olsson Project Management programs and resources. Adheres to regulations and enforces safety standards. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering 8+ years of experience in highway or municipal design Project management experience including scope, schedule, and budget control Must be a registered Professional Engineer (PE) Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D Connectivity with local municipalities in the St. Louis area strongly preferred You are
