Be among the first 25 applicants. The Maintenance Leader is a key member of the Plant’s Natural Leadership Team (NLT) and reports directly to the Site Leader. This person is responsible for building and fostering a culture consistent with Owens Corning’s Safety Stand. The position is accountable to partner with other NLT members and deliver stable and reliable plant operations while driving out all forms of waste. The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership, training, development and engagement of all maintenance employees. They must demonstrate a proven track record of leadership and sustained performance associated with plant maintenance programs and operations. Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership, driving change and achieving results through employee engagement are required. Responsibilities

Re-enforce a strong commitment to live our safety stand and strengthen our safety culture. Ensure a safe, clean environmentally compliant work environment and build a culture where safety is always a priority. Develop hazard/risk assessments and safe plans of action for all critical tasks. Lead and support safety initiatives and processes to drive to zero incidents. Train and develop employees to safely perform their jobs and appreciate the value of 100% safety engagement. Participate in work area self-inspections, accident/incident investigations, and suggest best practices for a safe work environment. Ensure compliance with pollution control devices. Development and Execution of Plant Maintenance Strategy

Ensure maintenance strategy aligns with business strategy and operations plans. Implement improvement plans to drive plant operating performance and equipment reliability. Develop, plan a budget for, and execute a people strategy that includes internal advancement opportunities, talent reviews, and succession plans. Display fiscal responsibility in managing the maintenance budget proactively, including labor, repairs, replacements, and good project management. Partner with relevant stakeholders to identify and address process improvement opportunities to eliminate waste, enhance safety, reduce cost, increase capacity and productivity, and improve the quality of the finished product. Directing Maintenance Operations

Lead the Brookville Roofing Maintenance Department to best-in-class safety and machine performance. Control/Improve Operating Cost by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiencies, streamline processes and leverage resources to be cost efficient. Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis on chronic maintenance issues or repairs. Leverage FI tools to find long-term solutions to chronic machine performance losses. Lead the execution of effective PM and work order programs using predictive and preventive technologies. Be an engaged champion of TPM methodologies; lead the PM Pillar and partner with the AM Pillar Leader to deliver AM progression. Balance office and floor time appropriately to accomplish strategic imperatives while maintaining an understanding of the tactical issues to aid prioritization within RWP process. Effectively collaborate and build strong relationships with production and technical teams; effectively lead through the RWP process and SAP. Leading and Developing Talent

Attract, develop and retain the very best talent from an inclusive leadership perspective. Invest in the growth and development of high potential/capability talent. Partner with stakeholders to ensure maintenance personnel are well trained and current on required qualifications to perform the full scope of their job expectations. JIPM TPM

Assist in all plant TPM initiatives. Continue to use TPM methodology to gain a better understanding of the equipment/process. Identify and participate proactively in learning opportunities and develop expertise in those areas. Create and develop the team and pillar strategy for Preventative Maintenance. Align PM Pillar to achieve plant and business KPI’s and KAI’s. Utilize TPM tools such as breakdown analysis and PM sheets, indicators such as MTTR, MTBF. Work to achieve zero injuries, zero defects and zero losses. Design TPM PM strategy to achieve zero breakdowns through PM Matrix execution. Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Industrial, or equivalent experience is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of industrial manufacturing/maintenance assignments and experience. A minimum of 3 years of direct front line people leadership experience in a manufacturing setting. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Able to engage and care for people starting with Safety. Experience leading Reliability Work Process (RWP) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) highly preferred. Familiar with SAP and Predictive Maintenance Programs. Excellent at listening to team, following up on commitments, and building camaraderie. Strong process, engineering and technical abilities. Business and financial acumen. Capital project execution. Continuous improvement mindset; never satisfied with current state, always seeking to improve. High energy and stamina to lead through and be appropriately responsive to a 24/7 operation. Essential Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Exposure to temperature extremes. Exposure to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable. Exposure to asphalt smells. Able to wear applicable PPE for 12 hours.
