Traditional Sales Force - Category Manager
Established in 1919 and traded on the NYSE, Standard Motor Products, Inc. RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct business reviews for opportunities and optimization
Analyze customer business and conduct category reviews including regular business insight delivery, line review assistance, inventory optimization, margin opportunities, product lifecycle analysis, assortment review and recommendations, brand analysis and recommendations, customer category strategy and road‑map development
Use data to gain insights while generating inventory solutions
Create and deliver category and customer presentations – internal and external
Work cross‑functionally on major customer projects
Take the lead on customer data collection and updates for key reporting and dashboard communications
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years’ experience in Category Management or related field
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
High attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable presenting in group settings
Ability to multi‑task and direct multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
Lead cross‑functional teams
Some travel will be required
