Manage supplier performance and relationships, supporting on‑time delivery, quality, and price measures. Support the Supply Chain function to establish, maintain and monitor KPI’s to optimize supply chain performance in support of spares and production requirements. Manage supplier diversity initiatives, including government sub‑contracting goals. Identify, evaluate, qualify and implement new sources of supply, technologies, and methodologies to support products and processes in alignment with required departments. Negotiate prices and execute contracts for best total value on assigned commodities, pursuing cost reductions to support corporate targets. Support material flow through KANBAN releases & PO execution in support of production operations. Support tactical buyers in preventing and expediting critical shortages, investigating root causes for supply chain failures and developing cohesive, permanent corrective actions. Contribute to Mettler-Toledo Rainin, LLC’s new product development projects, strategies and initiatives. Define necessary actions and drive those as the responsible person within material management and inter‑departmental collaboration. Maintain data and training material integrity to ensure high quality processes in materials management and purchasing processes. Identify and implement improvement areas to increase back office productivity (e.g., reduce supplier portfolio, automate standard purchasing process, reduce days of inventory on hand, increase inventory turnover). Analyze and validate material costs and identify saving potential, driving the implementation in alignment with required departments. Perform other duties as required. What You Need to Succeed

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. Five to ten years of experience in supply chain management or procurement, preferably in a production environment. Knowledge and understanding of Contract law and implementation of Supply Agreements is a plus. Current SAP Procurement experience required: Contracts, PIRs, Source Lists, purchasing master data, SAP/BI/HANA reporting. Solid knowledge of MRP, Kanban programs and inventory management. Experience implementing and monitoring Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and replenishment programs and processes. Professional attitude and best service practices toward suppliers and internal/external customers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proven procurement negotiation skills. Able to work effectively as a team member in a manufacturing and R&D environment. ISM and/or APICS certifications a plus. Some travel may be required, domestically and internationally.
