Overview The Warehouse Team Lead is essential to timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Under general supervision, the Warehouse Team Lead will complete advanced assignments related to receiving including frequent power forklift operation. The role requires flexing into other areas of the warehouse to perform shipping, kitting, intra-company delivery via company vehicles, material handling, product picking, special labeling and packing using handheld technology and inventory software systems. This position requires sustained moderate physical activity throughout the shift, including crouching, climbing, pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting and carrying. Athletes will be assigned in varying work centers and must be prepared to report to secondary work centers or building locations as directed.

Essential Job Functions

Receives raw materials, parts, supplies, and finished goods from vendors.

Checks conditions of all received goods for damage, quantity, size, weight, and product description. Verifies that packages are properly labeled including hazardous chemicals and reports all deficiencies to leadership.

Verifies goods received meet specifications of purchase order.

Inspects purchased parts, assemblies, accessories and materials for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments and devices; examines items for defects in materials, work and damage that may have occurred in transit.

Approves or rejects items and records inspection and disposition information.

Completes receiving documents and routes to appropriate department. Enters receiving data in computer.

Load/unload deliveries using power forklift and/or other manually operated lifts.

Operate company vehicles including but not limited to box truck, forklift, and company leased or owned vehicles to deliver parts, equipment and supplies between buildings.

Performs general warehouse duties as assigned including shipping, kitting, intra-company delivery via company vehicle, stocking, data entry, fulfillment of BOMs and internal supply orders, picking at a 98% accuracy rate, and packaging according to customer specification.

Participates in cycle counts and year-end physical inventory.

Performs general housekeeping and department six sigma activities.

Adheres to all Department and Company Standards, Operating Procedures and Safety Requirements.

Treats others with respect and conducts themselves in a positive and inclusive manner daily.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Educational & Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Valid driver’s license, with no moving violations in the last three years

12 months general warehouse or shipping/receiving experience

General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Close attention to detail

Understand written instruction

Proficient data entry skills and software applications including Microsoft Suite, Infor Powerlink/FMS, and the ability to learn new software programs as needed

Ability to complete repetitive tasks while maintaining mental focus

General knowledge of warehouse, shipping, and receiving procedures

Proficient knowledge of manufacturing processes, order flow, bills of material, shop packets materials and supplies

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess relevant facts, identify alternative approaches and supply recommended solutions

Ability to read and follow instruction

Ability to drive a power forklift and attain power forklift operator’s certificate

Ability to count accurately and perform simple math functions

Ability to inspect materials and finished products for defects

Ability to drive all company vehicles including daylight, nighttime and inclement weather conditions

Maintain current certifications:

PIT

DOT Physical/License

Fall protection

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 25 lbs.

Ability to participate in a team lift of 50 lbs.

Able to stand and walk for entire shift

Comfortable with frequent ladder use

Able to turn or bend

Able to grip/grasp repetitively

Able to push a cart continuously

DOT exam required to operate vehicles

Working Conditions

Required to know and don PPE applicable to work-center guidelines which may include:

The compensation rate is $19.50/hour which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation.
