Concrete Project Manager The Concrete Project Manager oversees and coordinates all aspects of concrete construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and delivery. This role requires in-depth knowledge of concrete work (e.g., foundations, slabs, sidewalks, tilt-up, structural concrete) and project management best practices. The ideal candidate is highly organized, safety-conscious, and capable of managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously.

Job Summary The Concrete Project Manager oversees and coordinates all aspects of concrete construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and delivery. This role requires in-depth knowledge of concrete work (e.g., foundations, slabs, sidewalks, tilt-up, structural concrete) and project management best practices. The ideal candidate is highly organized, safety-conscious, and capable of managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling:

Develop project timelines, work schedules, and sequencing for concrete-related tasks.

Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.

Review project specifications and drawings to determine construction requirements.

Budgeting & Cost Management:

Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets.

Approve invoices, change orders, and ensure work is performed within budget.

Identify and mitigate financial risks related to concrete work.

Team Management:

Supervise site superintendents, foremen, and labor crews.

Ensure all workers follow safety protocols and quality standards.

Conduct performance evaluations and resolve personnel issues on-site.

Client & Stakeholder Coordination:

Serve as the main point of contact for clients, engineers, and general contractors.

Conduct regular project meetings to update stakeholders on progress.

Address any client concerns or changes in scope promptly.

Quality Control & Safety:

Ensure all concrete work meets or exceeds industry standards and specifications.

Enforce OSHA and company-specific safety protocols.

Perform site inspections and audits for quality and compliance.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed project records including daily logs, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and inspection reports.

Provide regular progress reports to company leadership and clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field

5+ years of experience managing concrete construction projects

Strong knowledge of concrete materials, forming systems, finishing techniques, and curing processes

Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, MS Project)

OSHA 30-hour certification

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites

Work Environment

Combination of fieldwork on active construction sites and office-based project coordination

May require extended hours, night shifts, or weekends depending on project timelines
