It serves as a one-stop-shop for M/WBEs interested in doing business with the city and its agencies. The M/WBE Constituent Affairs Manager & Special Assistant will play a key role in developing and guiding work related to the Administration’s M/WBE initiatives. The role involves supporting the Office of M/WBE through coordinating and administrative tasks and managing the constituent services component pertaining to the Mayor’s agenda to increase opportunities for M/WBEs city-wide. Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To Serve as the primary point of contact for the Citywide Chief Business Diversity Officer’s (CBDO) day-to-day schedule, coordinating and confirming all logistical details and necessary preparation Manage the CBDO’s workflow and priorities by handling calendar and scheduling requests Oversee day-to-day Office operations, including ensuring the Executive Director has read and signed key correspondence, booking travel, managing event logistics, reimbursements, and team record-keeping Coordinate the CBDO’s speaking engagements and public appearances, including preparation of briefing materials, talking points and presentations Assist with information gathering, stakeholder communication, project plans, and tracking responsibilities to move critical projects forward Generate policy briefings and project-related documents, such as meeting agendas, work plans, and progress reports Manage and track constituent requests presented to Administration senior officials and the Office of M/WBEs Manage Advisory Council meetings and members, Directors/Commissioner Meetings, office management, events coordination, scheduling, special projects and other assignments Track meeting notes with external or internal stakeholders Organize data and metrics into tracking systems accessible across the Office of M/WBE Assist in reviewing and editing critical communication proposals, policy statements, and briefings for the Mayor’s Office of M/WBEs Coordinate Mayor’s M/WBE Advisory Council meetings and subcommittee meetings for the Office of M/WBEs Support External Affairs in forging and maintaining relationships with constituents and M/WBEs Perform additional administrative duties/projects as assigned Preferred Skills Exemplary editing and organizational skills Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent interpersonal, analytical, oral and written communication skills Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint Proven track-record of timeliness and follow-through on objectives To Apply External applicants, please go to www.nyc.gov/careers/search and search for Job ID #753955 Current City Employees may apply via Employee Self Service (ESS) http://cityshare.nycnet/ess. Salary: $70,000.00 – $75,373.00 Minimum Qualifications

Do you have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university? Do you have an associate degree from an accredited college or university along with two (2) years of experience with administrative, analytic, coordinative, supervisory or liaison responsibilities? Do you have a four-year high school diploma, or its educational equivalent approved by a state’s Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization along with four (4) years of experience as described in question 2 above? Do you have a satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to that described in questions 1-4 above?
