Responsibilities
Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Registers sales on assigned cash registers, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
Assists the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
Recommends items for sale and trade‑up or companion items.
Registers customer purchases, collects cash, distributes change, processes voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges, and assists customers in locating products.
Keeps counters and shelves clean and well‑merchandised, performs inventory, maintains records, checks in and prices merchandise as required.
Performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including filling prescriptions, verifying medicine, checking for interactions, and ensuring proper workflow.
Reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and follows company policies and the Quality Improvement Program.
Helps with telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention.
Processes manual claims for third‑party prescription services and performs clerical duties as assigned.
Supports the Pharmacy Department with inventory management, orders, unpacking, checking, storing shipments, and filing claims for overages, shortages, and order errors.
Ensures compliance with state and local laws for regulated products.
Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional, seasonal, and superstructures, and completes resets and revisions.
Assists with separation of food items, stock rotation, and restock outs.
Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
Provides customer service in the photo area and other services.
Assumes web pick‑up responsibilities, monitors orders, picks items, and delivers orders to arriving customers.
Assists with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure a clean, neat, and orderly store appearance.
Maintains respectful relationships with coworkers and completes special assignments as assigned.
Qualifications
Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Preference for six months of experience in a retail environment.
Preference for prior work experience with Walgreens.
Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling.
Good computer skills.
Knowledge of store inventory control.
PTCB certification preferred.
