Overview
Amrize, formerly known as Aggregate Industries, is a leading supplier of quality construction building materials in the United States and is seeking a Production Supervisor for our Ottertail, MN plant. This role is primarily responsible for oversight, coordination, planning and batching/loading of daily production activities to ensure uninterrupted supply and delivery of ready mix concrete to our customers, while driving efficiencies and maintaining a strong safety culture. What You'll Accomplish
Batches ready mix concrete at the dry batch plant. Ensures conformance with policies and procedures, safety regulations, and local, state and federal laws. Leads by example in safety. Makes recommendations for workforce planning, hiring, training, development, work allocation, conflict resolution, performance evaluations and separations. Supervises, coordinates, assists and monitors plant and driver activities including equipment maintenance. Supports and assists personnel in achieving timely and efficient production schedules. Investigates abnormal operating events or equipment failures to determine the cause, and makes adjustments, repairs and/or modifications as needed. Analyzes operational data and reconfigures operating areas as necessary to provide adequate, economical service. Oversees the overall safety of all personnel at, loading out of, or visiting the site. Ensures proper documentation of operations activities in logs and/or incident reports. Maintains an effective system of communication with supervisors and customer service. Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas; promotes a culture of safety. What We're Looking For
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalency required. Field of Study Preferred: Business, Leadership, or related. Experience: Three to five years in the construction industry; ready mix experience preferred. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience preferred. Strong work ethic and communication skills. Experience with batch and dispatch systems preferred. DOT experience and knowledge of difficult engineering specifications in mix designs. Computer proficiency including Windows, Google Mail and spreadsheet data entry. Travel Requirements: 0-10%. Additional Requirements
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and use of Amrize-approved PPE, including respirators where required. Employees who wear respirators must be clean shaven at the seal point to pass fit tests. What We Offer
