The Project Manager – Foodservice Equipment is responsible for leading the end‑to‑end execution of commercial foodservice equipment projects, from initial client engagement through project closeout. This role serves as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders, ensuring project scope, budget, and timelines are clearly defined and met. The Project Manager will conduct discovery meetings to determine equipment and service needs, prepare detailed quotations, and coordinate cross‑functional efforts to deliver drawings, specifications, and documentation for construction and bidding. The position requires strong collaboration with the customer, engineers, general contractors, and installers to maintain project alignment, manage approvals for custom‑fabricated items, and oversee installation readiness. Regular travel to customer sites is required for on‑site project management during installation and closeout. The Project Manager ensures full contract compliance, manages change orders, and oversees project reconciliation to support accurate invoicing and successful project completion. Responsibilities
Explain project management process in detail to potential clients to gain clarity and acceptance Determine scope of project inclusive of foodservice equipment needs and services through discovery conversations Prepare budget quotation of recommended equipment and services utilizing preferred suppliers where possible Collaborate cross‑functionally to provide necessary documents and drawings for construction, trade, and bidding purposes Communicate internally and externally with architects, engineers, estimators, installers, and associated GC’s / construction trades to maintain alignment on project plan Develop project plan with detailed explanation of key milestones and lead time management Submit necessary documentation to generate and then manage approval process of shop drawings for custom fabricated items, regarding design, finish dimensions and MEP considerations Review manufacturers’ quotes for distributed products to ensure compliance with design requirements Manage customer order execution Coordinate with GC’s and/or designated client personnel on job site readiness, delivery and installation Perform job site visits for pre‑construction meetings, field dimension gathering, and installation management Ensure customer contract compliance Close out projects in a timely manner, including punch lists, change orders and project reconciliation for accurate final invoicing Competencies, Experience, and Requirements
Understanding financial goals and budget restraints Prior experience in foodservice, construction, architectural or design industries preferred Ability to read floor plans and general knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing preferred Strong ability to manage multiple projects concurrently Ability to learn Wasserstrom inventory and order management system Experience with Auto Quotes and MS Office suite of programs Strong individual contributor, yet strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to excel in collaborative work environment Adept in the organization and process of documenting critical details Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years project management experience preferred; equivalent combined education and experience required Travel is expected to be 50% of time Seniority Level
