Delivery Specialist at O'Reilly Auto Parts in Yelm, WA. The role involves maintaining and operating store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers, collecting money on COD deliveries, and handling customer returns. Compensation
$16.66 - $23.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance bonuses, or premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Essential Job Functions
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner. Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections, etc. Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and complete daily vehicle inspections prior to operating. Keep delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and monies collected secure at all times. Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores) and fill out driver return slip. Communicate problems or special needs from customers to store management. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately. Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure vehicle at end of day. Clock in/out according to company policy. Other duties as assigned, including customer service, stocking, merchandising, errands, handling core returns, and stock orders. May assist customers, serve as a cashier, and/or help with merchandising tasks when business dictates. All other duties as assigned. Skills/Education/Experience/Abilities – Required
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations. Driving record must meet the company's 14/18-point standard. Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company driving eligibility requirements. Preferred
Familiar with automotive parts. Ability to operate other light store equipment. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired). Benefits and Total Compensation
