Position Overview Manages the Supply Chain functions within the business, including order management, purchasing, scheduling, inventory control, warehouse and shipping/receiving. The role maintains a focus on stability, service, inventory and supply chain efficiencies, overseeing execution of material and finished good planning/scheduling and strategies to achieve site goals and objectives. This position ensures the Supply team performs at optimal levels to meet customer, internal, and external expectations and provides analytical support and guidance with issue resolution and decision‑making while tracking key processes and KPI measures.

Essential Functions Safety

Keep safety in the forefront of the team’s thinking and approach to work.

Planning

Oversee production planning and scheduling programs to meet sales forecasts, balancing manpower, equipment availability while minimizing execution material carrying and overhead costs.

Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to achieve on‑time deliveries and meet customer requirements while minimizing carrying and transportation costs.

Manage site lead times to accurately communicate product availability.

Maintain inventory stocking agreements and ensure site compliance.

Represent the site as the face of Pregis to key customer account relationships.

React to business conditions to ensure appropriate production volumes and inventories to enable cost and service goals to be met.

Purchasing

Work with Corporate procurement to ensure vendor supply is reliable to enable production needed to fulfill customer needs.

Manage planning team to insure requisitions and purchase orders are placed timely and appropriately to enable production while controlling spending constraints.

Inventory Control

Manage cycle count program and physical inventory events. Analyze root cause of count variances and develop and implement corrective actions.

Manage and resolve slow moving/inactive inventory and develop plans to avoid write‑offs.

Warehousing – Shipping/Receiving

Ensure 5S program implemented and maintained within warehouse and shipping areas.

Develop, manage, and monitor labor utilization plans to optimize costs and take rapid corrective actions in response to labor and overtime variances.

Ensure all material and inventory tasks are completed physically and systematically in a timely and safe manner.

Continuously seek to improve warehouse space utilization.

Transportation

Manage carrier interaction and performance for inbound and outbound flows through the facility.

Partner with Corporate Logistics to monitor performance and take corrective measures related to carrier management.

Administration

Leverage Dayforce (HRIS) to manage employee attendance, vacation, FMLA, vacation coverage and labor time clocks; provide timely approvals.

Conduct periodic employee target and objective setting and performance evaluations with supervisors and team members.

Manage employee performance and discipline while managing company risk and liabilities.

Other

Acts as the key point of contact for all strategic Supply Chain initiatives.

Understand site P&L and drivers for performance.

Set the tone for the department culture, with emphasis on Safety, Quality, Profitability, and People Development. Attract, retain and develop key talent within the site.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Previous supervisory/management experience required.

Proven track record of project management skills.

Strong knowledge of supply chain concepts/process and ability to apply them.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret various reports and documents.

Ability to present issues clearly and concisely; generate accurate analysis with a good understanding of cause and effect for each alternative solution both inside and outside the Supply Chain.

Ability to lead cross‑functional decision‑making processes with all levels of employees.

Intermediate level or better Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SharePoint, and MS Teams).

Strong SAP system experience and usage to drive results.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and/or recommendations.

Education and Experience

BS/BA in Supply Chain Management, required.

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Materials Management/Supply Chain, 5 years in a management role.
