Base Pay Range $126,300.00/yr - $173,700.00/yr

The Associate Director of the Requisition to Purchase Order (RPO) and Catalog Optimization team provides strategic leadership for the end-to-end requisition-to-purchase order process and reports directly to the Associate Vice President of Procure-to-Pay Operations. Responsible for driving efficiency, data integrity, and automation within procurement transactions, this role also oversees catalog management to ensure the accuracy, relevance, and optimization of procurement catalogs. The Associate Director partners closely with cross‑functional teams, enhancing stakeholder experiences and supporting organizational objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Lead, develop, and motivate the Requisition to PO and Catalog Optimization team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Oversee all aspects of the requisition-to-purchase order lifecycle, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Design and implement strategies to optimize the procurement catalog, focusing on efficiency, data quality, and user experience.

Collaborate across procurement, IT, finance, and business units to identify automation opportunities and implement RPA solutions, leveraging technology.

Drive process standardization and best practices, utilizing metrics and analytics to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.

Manage supplier catalogs, contract pricing, and item updates to ensure alignment with procurement policies.

Develop and maintain documentation for processes, catalog changes, and compliance requirements.

Serve as a subject matter expert for requisition and purchase order systems, providing guidance and training to internal stakeholders.

Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting procurement operations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

7+ years of progressive experience in procurement or AP operations, with a focus on requisition-to-order and catalog management.

Demonstrated leadership experience, including management of teams and cross‑functional projects.

Experience implementing process automation and optimization initiatives; knowledge of RPA is a strong plus.

Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Strong working knowledge of procurement systems and catalog management tools.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Excellent relationship management skills, demonstrating mature confidence and integrity.

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, both as a lead and as part of a team.

Ability to motivate team members and stakeholders to meet established deadlines.

Ability to be flexible and willing to learn new skill sets quickly as the need arises.

Additional Information This is a hybrid position and will require the candidate to work on site at Humana's facility approximately 3 days per week in Louisville, KY.
