Job Description
Review equipment specifications and designs, identify improvements, and conduct vendor buyoffs to confirm equipment functionality. Install equipment and verify safety, quality, and productivity performance. Investigate modification requirements, implement modifications, and perform trials and adjustments. Reduce project cost and time by verifying equipment safety, quality, and productivity at vendor sites before installation. Oversee vendor installation and facilitate the kanban process to improve efficiency. Enhance equipment quality and productivity by implementing adjustments identified during vehicle trials. Confirm quality results using secondary verification methods such as torque checks or vacuum profiles. Install, set up, and troubleshoot Toyopuc and Allen-Bradley program controllers. Provide training to Maintenance team members on newly implemented equipment. Share subject matter expertise with Maintenance and Production members. Travel up to 50% as required. Requirement/Must Have
Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience (Toyopuc, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, or Allen-Bradley) – 2 years. Comprehensive knowledge of PLCs – 2 years. Comprehensive understanding of electrical circuits and industrial controls – 2 years. 2-year technical degree or trade school completion in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) or Industrial Maintenance Technology, or equivalent work experience. Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings. Ability to travel up to 50%, including international travel. Ability to work up to 30% overtime as required. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs occasionally. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch frequently on varying surfaces. Manual dexterity for operating hand tools, power tools, and machinery. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights. Good vision and hand-eye coordination for detailed tasks. Ability to work in various environments including hot, cold, or confined spaces. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and long shifts. Should Have
2+ years of industrial maintenance experience. Knowledge of industrial robot programming and teaching. Knowledge of AGV/AMR programming and setup. Knowledge of safety scanner programming. Familiarity with industrial control networking (Ethernet/IP, FLNet, ProfiNet, etc.). Experience in automotive manufacturing.
